I’m Jerry, a lifelong Sacramento Kings fan, basketball card collector, and the founder of HoopCats.

Basketball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve attended countless Kings games, built a collection of thousands of basketball cards, met fellow collectors at card shows and through online breaks, and spent decades learning the history of one of the NBA’s most unique franchises.

What began as an eBay store has grown into something much bigger.

HoopCats is my journey to preserve the history of the Kings through trading cards.

My mission is simple:

Every card has a story.

Every player—whether a Hall of Famer, fan favorite, rookie, coach, or role player—contributed to the story of the franchise. Through trading cards, I hope to share that history with collectors and basketball fans alike.

As a longtime eBay seller, I take pride in carefully packaging every order, providing honest descriptions, offering fair prices, and delivering outstanding customer service. Whether you’re purchasing your first Kings card or adding a rare piece to your collection, I want every customer to have a great experience.

Recently, I’ve combined my love of photography with my passion for trading cards by photographing the cards for my eBay listings. I have avoided using scanners many high-volume sellers use, I photograph each card individually to better capture its detail, color, and condition. It’s a much slower process, but I believe every card deserves the extra attention—and for me, that effort is one of the most rewarding parts of the hobby.

Looking ahead, my vision is to build one of the most complete online resources dedicated to Sacramento Kings history through trading cards. My goal is to feature players from every era of the franchise—from the 1948 Rochester Royals, through Cincinnati and Kansas City, to today’s Sacramento Kings—showing how each generation helped shape the team’s remarkable story.
